JAMMU, Nov 12: Principal Sessions Judge Reasi S R Gandhi today awarded life-imprisonment to Karnail Singh, son of Kamal Singh and Kaka Ram, son of Mohan Singh, both residents of Mallikote Morha Chungra tehsil Mahore, who were facing trial in murder of Mani Ram.
After hearing Public Prosecutor Rashi Barru for the State whereas Senior AAG MA Goni for the accused persons, court ordered that each of the convict shall undergo imprisonment for life for the commission of offence under Section 302 of the RPC and a fine of Rs10,000.
For the offence under Section 452 RPC each of the convict shall undergo imprisonment for one year and a fine of Rs 1000. For the offence under Section 4/25 Arms Act convict Kaka Ram shall undergo imprisonment for three years, the court said.
