UDHAMPUR, Nov 10: The monthly meeting of the district Udhampur unit of Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum was held here today for deliberating over the burning problems of Plus 2 cadre and current scenario of the school education.
The meeting was presided over by Arunesh Kumar, district president of the Forum, who expressed concern over the transfers of Lecturers and Principals in the mid-session and said it was adversely affecting the education of students.
The other demands which came up for discussions included filling up of the vacant posts of Principals, lecturers, Masters, Teachers and other non teaching staff, repatriation of overstaying non local Lecturers and Principals serving in Ladakh to their parent districts for suitable adjustments, non-vocational status for 10 + 2 Principals, parity in the pay scale of Lecturers in Physical Education, restoration of 40 percent promotional quota to Higher Education, issuance of the list of promotion of Lecturers to Senior Lecturers and Senior Lecturers to Principals, enhancement of grade pay of Principals at par with their counter parts in JNVs and KVs, appointment of Chairman JKBOSE, regularization of I/C Joint Directors, I/C CEO’s, I/C Principals , left out I/C Lecturers in the School Education Department, re-organization of the Directorate of School Education etc.
It was also stressed that newly promoted lecturers case should also be taken up for regularization so they may not face the agony of regularization as being faced by other lecturers previously.
Prominent among those who addressed the meeting included Ashok Sharma, Ashwani Sharma, Joginder Gupta, Lakshmi Kant, Mohan Lal Sharma, Jatinder Sharma, Brij Mohan Verma, Sham Lal Sharma, Pawan Kumar, Sham Lal, Parjesh Kumar, Madan Lal, Pawan Kumar and others.
