JAMMU, Dec 4: SHTM Department, Sociology Department and Law School registered victories in the ongoing Inter-Department Cricket (Men) Tournament, being organised by the Office of Chairman Campus Sports Committee, University of Jammu, here today.
In the first match, SHTM Department defeated math Department by 5 wickets.
Batting first, Math Department scored 165 runs, while SHTM chased the target in 14.1 overs by losing 5 wickets to win the match by 5 wickets.
In another match, Sociology Department got the better of Physics Department by 32 runs. Sociology Department scored 93 runs in 15 overs, while Math Department bundled out for 61 runs.
In the third match of the day, Law School defeated Chemistry Department in a close contest by 8 runs.
Batting first, Law School scored 130 runs, while in reply, Law School scored 122 runs to lose the match by 8 runs.
The matches were officiated by Vijay Raina, Manoj Kumar, Sat Paul and Raj Kumar Bakshi.
