REASI, June 18: Two persons including a lady pilgrim were killed and one teenager was injured in accidents here today.
As per police sources, a tipper bearing registration number JK11C-6455 was on its way from Balmatkote towards Dhamni, when the driver lost control over the wheel and the vehicle plunged into deep gorge near Dhamni, resulting into death of one person and injuries to a teenager.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Ghani (22), son of Bashir Ahmed of Hamosan Tehsil Chassana and the injured was identified as Sohail Ahmad (18), son of Shabir of Kewel Budhal District Rajouri.
The injured was rushed to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Gota and later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu for specialized treatment.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Chassana and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a lady pilgrim was killed after hit by a Tata Mobile near Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan.
The deceased was identified as Sunder Devi, wife of Chatura Ram Soni, a resident of Rajasthan.
The driver of vehicle identified as Ajay Shebotra, son of Shri Dayal, a resident of District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 2/2021 under Sections 279 and 304-A IPC has been registered at Police Station Bhawan and investigation initiated.
