Ladakh assigns Housing, Transport Deptts to IAS officer Arava Gopi Krishna

LEH, Aug 13: The Union Territory administration in Ladakh has allocated the Housing and Urban Development and Transport departments to 2012 batch AGMUT cadre IAS officer Arava Gopi Krishna, with immediate effect.

According to an order issued by the General Administration Department, Krishna, who is serving as Administrative Secretary, will hold charge of both departments until further orders.

The Administration has also assigned additional responsibilities to three other officers.

As per the order, IAS officer Shurbir Singh, holding the rank of Commissioner Secretary, will also hold the charge of Administrative Secretary, Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction, while IAS officer Laltinkhuma Franklin, also Commissioner Secretary, will hold the charge of Administrative Secretary, Forest, Ecology and Environment.

Another Commissioner Secretary ranked IA&AS officer Tsewang Tharchin has been assigned the additional charge of Commissioner, GST.
