JAMMU, June 4: In a T-20 cricket match, KV masters has defeated Royal Strikers by six wickets, here today.
Under the guidance of Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV2), Principal, Bhushan Kumar, a T-20 cricket match was organised between KV Masters led by Samendar Rathore and Royal Strikers Cricket Club led by Ankur Dogra at KV2 school ground.
After winning toss, Strikers chose to bat first but their decision seemed to have gone wrong as opener Aman was bowled by Manjeet. A handy 80 runs partnership between Ankur (43 runs) and Rasdeep (31 runs) got the innings going against seam bowling of Ashok Kumar, Anuj and Somesh.
A late flourish by Mukesh (32 runs) and Sandeep (20 runs) helped Royal Strikers to reach 177/5 in stipulated 20 overs. In reply, KV Masters started well with inform batsman Sachin Kumar crafting a match winning fifty (64* runs) and with Samendar Rathore (58 runs) got them to a flying start with an opening partnership of 99 runs and chased the target in the last over with 6 wickets in hand.
Rakesh (2 wickets), Sandeep and Ankur (1 wicket each) were the wicket takers for Royal Strikers. Sachin Kumar was declared as player of the match for his all round performance.
