JAMMU, May 6: KV No-2 Jammu Cantt celebrated Annual Day with great zest and zeal at General Zorawar Singh Audit-orium, University of Jammu, here today.
AVLJ Rao, Deputy Commis-sioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Jammu Region was the chief guest on the occasion, while Lt Col K Bhanu Prakash 26 Inf Div, Nominee Chairman KV No-2 Jammu Cantt and Mrs Swati were the special guests.
Senior Army Officers, Principals of KVs and Principals of other Schools, besides parents were present on the occasion.
The programme began with the lighting of the traditional lamp by the chief guest and the other dignitaries.
Earlier, Principal KV No-2 Jammu Cantt, Rita Bhaskar presented welcome address and also presented annual report highlighting the achievements of the School.
Students presented a variety of dance items including Rajasthani dance, Punjabi Gidda, besides Saraswati Vandana on the occasion.
The meritorious students were honoured with certificates and prizes.
In his speech, the chief guest lauded the efforts of the Principal, staff and the students for organising a beautiful programme.
The programme was anchored by senior teachers Rachna Sharma and Amardeep Kour.
Senior teacher, Radha Randhir presented vote of thanks.
