POONCH, July 14: Kunuyian Viper and Khalsa Cricket Club scripted convincing victories over their rivals in the ongoing Tennis Cricket Night Tournament at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, here today.
In the first match, Kanuyian Viper defeated Jafaria Club by a big margin of 86 runs. Kanuyian scored 134/5 in allotted 10 overs. Zaffar top scored with 36 runs off 22 balls.
Jafaria Club, in reply, bundled out for 48 runs, thus lost the match by 86 runs.
In another match, Khalsa Club defeated Kirmani Club by 61 runs in an easy contest.
Batting first, Khalsa scored 122 /6 in 10 overs. Ravneet scored 79 runs off 27 balls. Kirmani scored 61 runs in 10 overs, thus Khalsa Club won by 61 runs.
Earlier, the Tournament was declared open by Rajiv Pandey, SSP Poonch.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Mohan Sharma, DySP DAR, Narjeet Singh ZPEO, Narinder Singh ZPEO, Vijay Kumar and Pawan Kumar.
The matches were officiated by Rajneesh Maini, Ishtiaq Ahmed, Gurmeet Singh, Zaffar and Shabir.
The Tournament is being organised by Parvaiz Malik, Chairman EHSAAS Foundation Poonch and Gurvinder Singh Secretary of Foundation.
