RS PURA, July 28: Member of Legislative Council (MLC), BR Kundal today visited the village Maheshia of Miran Sahib area, took stock of the grievances of the local people and assured them to resolve the same soon.
Meanwhile, a public meeting was organized by the local Sarpanch, wherein the villagers apprised the MLC about their problems regarding worst condition of lanes and drains. The MLC was apprised that the electric wires of the village need immediate replacement as they are years old and remain broken.
“We are not getting any benefit of the Government welfare schemes. Neither, the aged are getting old age pension timely”, they told Kundal.
They also highlighted the issue of non-availability of transport facility, adding that they have to travel miles on foot to board a bus.
Kundal assured the villagers that all their problems would be resolved as earlier as possible. He said that the Government had already spent crores of rupees for development of the area and will continue to do so.
The MLC announced the development work of cremation grounds of the three villages of the Panchayat Darsopur and installation of 100 KV transformer in village Maheshia.
