KTMF calls Valley-wide shut down against implementation of GST

Srinagar, June 15: Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation (KTMF) today called for a Valley-wide shutdown on Saturday, June 17 against proposed implementation of Goods and Services Tax (GST) in the State.

While addressing a press conference here in Srinagar president of Kashmir Traders and Manu-facturers Federation (KTMF)  said that they would not allow the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax in the State. “It will affect the special position of our State vide article 370 and we will not allow that to happen”, he said.
He said they outrightly reject the idea “One India One Tax’ as it was against the interests of the State.
He further said that they will also hold a sit-in at Lalchowk on Saturday and would direct all the trade unions at district and tehsil level to stage protests in their respective places.
