RAJOURI, Dec 8: Majority of the people including flood and rains affected families from Kotranka area of district Rajouri have been denied full quota of ration by the concerned staff of the Department of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD).
Several Sarpanchs and Panchs of the area have alleged that consumers are not being provided full quota of ration while at all the ration outlets/ depots, the ration arrives in the fourth week of the month. Sugar is hardly made available once in 2-3 months while people often go high and dry. The concerned staff and salesmen often claim that ration supply has not reached from Jammu.
Sarpanch Munshi Khan from Kandi alleged that on the complaints of ration shortage, pilferage charges and not maintaining record property by Kotranka staff, the Director CAPD Jammu had personally visited Kotranka to conduct on the spot inquiry. A TSO was also attached but he managed his status with the interference of Minister concerned within one and half month. The things have again gone from bad to worst. There is no accountability and people have been left to suffer.

No entry is made on the ration cards and there is no check on the sales depots and staff there.
