Khelo India Games for disabled conclude

SAMBA, Apr 1: Special Olympics Bharat J&K Chapter organized three days District Games for disabled at Samba with the motive to explore their hidden talent though the medium of sports under Khelo India Games for disabled, here today.
Earlier, the games were inaugurated by Chairman SSA, Ram Pal Bal and in the valedictory function today, Dr DK Manyal, MLA was the chief guest, while the function was presided over by Chief Education Officer Samba.
About 285 persons with disabilities participated in 3 days District Games and enjoyed the various sports events including Football, Dribbling, Shooting, Throw Ball, Badminton, Softball Skills, Bocce, 200mt,100mt, 50mt race, wheel chair race and Shot-Put.
Ashwani Jojra, President SOB (Special Olympics Bharat) presented welcome address.
MLA Samba lauded the role of the organization in holding the event.
He also distributed prizes among the winners on the occasion.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Thakur Kashmir Singh Manhas, Labba Ram Gandhi, Raj Kumar Sharma, Area Director, S.Prithpal Singh, Sport Director SOB, Satish Verma Principal, Boys Hr. Secondary School, Samba, Captain Raj Singh, Narinder Gupta SSA (IED), District Coordinator, Vikas Rana DEO, Jatin Chanjotra.
