JAMMU, Oct 31: Scripting victories over their rivals in the semifinals, Khalsa Cricket Club and Srinagar Eleven sealed berth in the finals of the ongoing 6th Eid-Diwali Milan T20 Cricket Cup, being played at KC School ground, here.
The tournament in which 12 teams are participating is being organized jointly by Simula Sports Club, KC Sports Club and J&K Sports Promoters Club.
Earlier, in the first semifinal match, Khalsa Cricket Club defeated Simula Sports Club in an easy contest by 40 runs.
Batting first, Khalsa Cricket Club scored 170 runs in the stipulated 20 overs for loss of 6 wickets, with Amandeep Singh (56), Bansi Lal (29) and Dhruv Mahajan (26) being the main scorers. From Simula, Hardeep Singh and Raman Dutta took 2 wickets each, while Sahil and Satish claimed 1 wicket each.
Simula Eleven, in reply, scored 130 runs in 17.2 overs, thus lost the match by 40 runs. Hardeep Singh (26), Hilal Rather (25) and Sahil Sharma (18) were the main scorers.
From Khalsa Club, Ankush Bandral and Kulvinder Singh took 3 wickets each, Amandeep bagged 2, while Mohit and Sunny claimed 1 wicket each. Amandeep Singh was declared as the man of the match.
In another semifinal, Srinagar Eleven defeated YCC Baleessa by 7 wickets.
Batting first, YCC collapsed at 65 runs in 15.2 Arif and Sahil contributed 17 and 12 runs resepctively. From Srinagar Eleven, Gulzar was the wrecker-in-chief who took 4 wickets, while Raqib and Umar Ali bagged 2 wickets each and Shabir claimed 1 wicket.
In reply Srinagar Eleven chased the target in 8.2 overs by losing 3 wickets, thus won the match by 7 wickets.
Rouf Bisati scored 24 runs, while Morifat contributed 21 runs to the total. From bowling side, Arif took 2 wickets and Asrar Ur Haq claimed 1 wicket. Gulzar was declared as the man of the match.
The match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik, Saleem-Ur-Rehman, Vikas, Dyal Singh and Sandeep.
According to the organizers, IGP Jammu will be the chief guest in the valediction function after the final match.
