JAMMU, Nov 12: Khalsa Cricket Club and Horizon Kings registered wins in their respective matches and sailed into the next stage of the league round of the 7th Eid-Diwali Milan Cricket Club, being organized by Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu in collaboration with Simula Cricket Club, KC Sports Club and Vishal Cricket Club at Parade Ground here today.
In today’s matches, Dr Raghav Langer Chief Executive Officer was the chief guest while Dhruv Mahajan Former Ranji Player and Arjun Choudhary MD KC Sports Club were the guests of honour who were introduced with the participating teams.
In the first match, Khalsa Cricket Club defeated Lakshmi Cricket Club by 3 wickets. Batting first, Lakshmi Cricket Club scored 150 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs. Ateev Saini scored 69 runs, while Yuvraj Saini made 23 runs and Nipun scored 16 runs.
From bowling side, Anmol, Gagandeep, Harvinder, Harpreet and Navdeep took 1 wicket each.
In reply, Khalsa Cricket Club chased the target in 19.2 overs for the loss of 7 wickets thus won the match by 3 wickets. Neeraj with 36 runs, Navdeep with 34 runs and Sukhwinder with 18 runs were the main scorers.
For Lakshmi Cricket Club, Pardeep Bali and Govind Manhas took 2 wickets each while Yogesh and Santbaksh took 1 wicket each.
Navdeep Singh was adjudged as Man of the Match for his brilliant performance.
In another match, Horizon Kings defeated Evershine Club by 3 wickets. Batting first, Evershine scored 131 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. Sahil made 34 runs, while Chamkor Singh scored 33 runs and Balbir Singh chipped in 26 runs.
From bowling side, Nishu took 3 wickets, Aditpal Singh scalped 2 wickets while Ashish Singh (skipper) pocketed 1 wicket.
In the second inning, Horizon Kings chased the target in 17.2 overs by losing 7 wickets thus won the match by 3 wickets. Akhil scored 44 runs and Sachin made 17 runs.
For Evershine Club, Vicky took 2 wickets, while Narinder, Baba and Sunny scalped 1 wicket apiece.
Akhil was adjudged as Man of the Match for his all round performance.
The matches were officiated by Ashok Kumar, Sanju and Ajay.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Kashmir Happenings XI will clash with KC Academy, whereas KCCC will take on Saffron Cricket Club.
