KCPS swimmers Akshita, Karan, Sanjit, Abhinav win gold medals in Swimming Competition

JAMMU, Sept 14: The swimmers of KC Public School namely Akshita Mengi, Karan Dhar, Sanjit Singh and Abhinav Gupta bagged gold medals in different categories in the District Level Inter School Swimming Competition, organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports at Jodhamal Public School, here today.
The Competition was declared open by Sukhdev Raj Sharma, DYSSO Jammu in a well attended function.
The Competitions is being held as a part of annual calendar of sports activities under the patronage of Jahangir Mir, Director General Youth Services and Sports, under the overall supervision of Madan Lal, Jt. Director and Sukhdev Raj Sharma.
Akshita Mengi was the star performer and displayed extraordinary swimming skills in the 200 mtrs freestyle Under-17 girls to claim gold.
In Swimming Under-17 boys 50 mtrs freestyle,  Karan Dhar of KC Public School won gold, while  Ashish Sharma of KC International and Vidhar Kar of Jodhamal Public School bagged silver and bronze medals respectively, while in 200 mtrs freestyle Under-17 boys, Sanjit Singh of KC Public School clinched gold and Ajay S. Tandon of Banyan International claimed silver, while in 100 mtrs freestyle Under-17 boys,  Abhinav of KC Public School bagged gold, while  Biraj Gupta of KC International and Vidhar Kar of Jodhamal School claimed silver and bronze medals respectively.
In 100 mtrs freestyle Under-14 boys,  Dharya of Jodhamal School won gold, Arab of Jodhamal School clinched silver and  Aadit of Heritage School claimed bronze.
The Competition was officiated by Rakesh Kakkar, Vishal Bharti, Surajdev Singh, Anil Shan, Amolak Singh, Jai Singh, Harpreet Bhalla, Ankush Gupta, Mahadev Singh and Ravinder Singh.
