JAMMU, July 28: KC International School won the prestigious International School Award by the British Council for a period of three years from 2015-18.
There were different projects taken up during the academic session 2014-15.
The Pre-Primary section had taken up a project on knowing National symbols of different countries like UK, India, Africa, USA and Sri Lanka.
The middle school children worked upon Measuring Monuments wherein they clubbed Math and History by exploring and measuring the area, etc. of different monuments of the world. The students and teachers had taken up collaboration with Ataruk School, Turkey.
Some other projects included voyage of Political Arena, Cherishing Childhood, Natural Disasters and It’s Leisure Time. The project cherishing childhood got special appreciation from the panelists. This project worked especially to highlight the problem of child labour found in not only the developing countries but also in developed countries like UK and USA. Through this project the students established collaboration with the Geitonas School, Greece.
Vice Chairman, Chaitanya Choudhary and Principal, Maya Mishra lauded the efforts of the entire staff for this achievement.
The award was received by Kesar Patel, the ISA Co-ordinator for the programme at a function in Delhi.
