JAMMU, May 24: Kawa College of Education organised seminar on the topic “teacher education in India-challenges and Initiatives”.
Prof Desh Bandhu (Director Colleges Development Council, University of Jammu) was the chief guest of the function, Prof Darshan Sharma from Distance Education, University of Jammu was the guest of honour and special invitee of the function was Prof N S Gupta (retd HoD Business School, University of Jammu), Principals and faculties from the different colleges participated in the seminar in the inaugural session.
On this occasion, key note address was delivered by Prof Darshana Sharma from Directorate of Distance Education, University of Jammu.
The function began with the lighting of lamp by the resource persons. Er M S Katoch, chairman of the college presented the welcome address. He spoke on the topic and laid stress upon the teacher education which strengthened the arena and prospective of teacher training and research activities.
In valedictory function, chief guest was Prof Rajeev Gupta (Pro Vice-Chancellor, Central University of Jammu) while guest of honour was Prof Pankaj Srivastav ( Dean Student welfare, University of Jammu) who also spoke on the occasion.
