KATHUA, Oct 28: Kathua police while continuing its war to eradicate the crime from the society, managed to arrest one accused namely Bhopinder Singh, son of Sham Lal of Kunde Chak, tehsil Marheen and solved murder case within hours.
In this regard a case FIR No.284/2023 U/S 302 IPC stands registered at Police Station (PS), Rajbagh on information received from reliable source that one lady namely Sarabjeet Kour, wife of Bhopinder Singh has been murdered by her husband and the dead body is lying on spot.
On this information case FIR 284/2023 U/S 302 IPC has been registered and investigation taken up by Inspector, Tariq Ahmed, SHO, Police Station (PS) Rajbagh.
During the course of investigation IO took the dead body into custody and minutely examined the spot. After that dead body was taken to GMC Kathua for autopsy and later handed over to the family members for last rites. The husband of the deceased was taken into custody who on sustained interrogation confessed his crime. The accused is a serving army personnel. Investigation is at initial stage. The arrest has been made by a team headed by Inspector, Tariq Ahmed, SHO Police Station, Rajbagh under the supervision of SDPO, Border, Dheeraj Singh Katoch under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua, Shivdeep Singh Jamwal.
