KATHUA, Aug 7: Deputy Commissioner, Kathua, Om Parkash Bhagat today disbursed Rs 8.20 lakh among the dependents of deceased construction workers under the welfare scheme of Jammu & Kashmir Building & other Constructions Workers Welfare Board.
Assistant Labour Commissioner Kathua Sapna was also present.
The Deputy Commissioner handed over the assistance orders to the families of deceased construction workers namely Raj Kumar son of Inder Dass of Chack Shiba Kathua; Jodh Raj son of Dhian Chand, of Jarai Kathua; Subash Chander son of Roop Lal of Nagri, Kathua; and Dev Raj son of Kunny Lal of Logate Kathua. The deceased were registered with Assistant Labour Commissioner Kathua under the welfare scheme of Jammu & Kashmir Building & other Constructions Workers Welfare Board.
Under the scheme, in case of death of a registered worker, a onetime death assistance of Rs 2.05 lakh is given to the dependent family members by the JKBCWW Board.
