SRINAGAR, Sept 28: National Conference President Farooq Abdullah today said the country is changing and “a new change” is on the horizon.

“Kashmir is changing, India is changing. A new change is on the horizon, God willing,” Abdullah told reporters here when asked about the changing Kashmir.

Abdullah, who attended a musical event at Tagore Hall, did not elaborate on his remarks.

The three-time former Chief Minister described the musical event as a “great initiative”.

“We hadn’t made such an effort before. They have come from Bombay. This is their fourth programme. The talent that these children have here can be brought forward so that they can present their art not just at home, but before everyone,” he said.

Asked about controversies surrounding films, Abdullah said politics should sometimes be kept aside.

“Are you covering music or politics? Politics never leaves you alone! For God’s sake, leave politics aside for once,” he told reporters.
