JAMMU, Sept 7: Inter District and Zone Level Competitions in various disciplines is being organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports at different venues.
JAMMU: Fencing competition in girls section commenced today at Guru Harkrishan Public School, whereas Wushu for all age group boys and girls concluded here today at MA Stadium. Taekwondo gets underway at University of Jammu.
In U-14 Fending Foil (boys), Kamakesh of Jammu District, Rakshit of Jammu District, Ujjwal of Jammu District and Brahmjot of Jammu District secured first, second, third and fourth positions respectively, whereas in U-14 Fencing Epee (boys), Sufyan of Jammu District, Sohit of Reasi District, Sohang of Jammu District and Samnuay Gupta of Jammu District bagged first, second, third and fourth positions respectively.
In U-14 Fencing Sabre (boys), Anubhav of Jammu District, Pratkesh of Jammu District, Aalyveer of Jammu District and Vatsal of Jammu District bagged first, second, third and fourth positions respectively, whereas in U-17 Fencing Foil (boys), Tanish of Jammu District, Bharat of Reasi District, Gourav of Reasi District and Gulshan of Jammu District secured first, second, third and fourth positions respectively.
In U-17 Fencing Epee (boys), Shivash of Jammu District, Aryan of Jammu District, Rohit of Reasi District and Parth of Jammu District clinched first, second, third and fourth positions respectively, whereas in U-17 Fencing Sabre (boys), Sunyans of Jammu District, Lakshaya of Jammu District, Harshit of Jammu District and Sachin of Jammu District bagged first, second, third and fourth positions respectively.
In U-19 Fencing Foil (boys), Prashant of Reasi District, Aadlar of Jammu District, Rahul of Udhampur District and Tanmay of Jammu District bagged first, second, third and fourth positions respectively, whereas in U-19 Fencing Epee (boys), Soham of Jammu District, Pragun of Jammu District, Lakshya of Jammu District and Udhay of Jammu District bagged first, second, third and fourth positions respectively.
In U-19 Fencing Sabre (boys), Abhijay of Jammu District, Prajeshwal of Jammu District, Vaibhav of Jammu District and Harsh of Jammu District bagged first, second, third and fourth positions respectively.
In U-19 Wushu girls (48 kg), Reshma of Kathua District bagged first position, whereas in 56 kg, Rubeena Bibi of Kathua District emerged winner.
In U-17 Wushu girls (36 kg) Kanika of Jammu District bagged first position, in U-40 kg, Nilakshi of Udhampur District emerged winner, in 45 kg, Komal Devi of Kathua District bagged first position, in 48 kg, Khushboo of Jammu District clinched first position, in 52 kg, Manvi of Jammu District bagged first position, in U-56 kg, Somya of District Kathua clinched first position and in U-60 kg, Shakti of Kathua District secured first position.
In U-17 Cricket girls, District Samba beat District Jammu by 4 runs.
KATHUA: Inter Zone District Level Tournament of Athletics for all age group boys and girls concluded at Sports Stadium here.
In U-19 girls Javelin, Tania of Zone Kathua bagged first position, whereas in High Jump, Tania Devi of Zone Hiranagar and Shabana Akhtar of Zone Kathua bagged first and second positions respectively, in Shotput, Kajal Devi of Zone Lakhanpur and Guria of Zone Kathua clinched first and second positions respectively, in Long Jump, Pooja Devi of Zone Barnoti and Damini of Zone Lakhanpur clinched first and second positions respectively and in Discus Throw, Nazama of Zone Lakhanpur and Ravana Akhtar of Zone Kathua clinched first and second positions respectively.
In 100 meters, Asha Rani of Zone Hiranagar and Vandhana Kumari of Zone Kathua bagged first and second positions respectively, in 200 meters, Sia of Zone Marheen and Amita of Zone Kathua bagged first and second positions respectively, in 400 meters, Sonia of Zone Lakhanpur and Asha Rani of Zone Hiranagar clinched first and second positions respectively, in 800 meters, Vandhana of Zone Lakhanpur and Pallavi Devi of Zone Kathua secured first and second positions respectively, in 1500 meters, Sonika Devi of Zone Sallan and Nazma Bibi of Zone Lakhanpur clinched first and second positions respectively.

In 49 kg, Vansh, Amarnath and Ashutosh bagged first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in 55 kg, Ashish Sharma, Deevan Singh and Ram Kumar clinched first, second and third positions respectively.
In 61 kg, Neeraj Sharma, Arun Kumar and Mohammad Yaqoob bagged first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in 67 kg, Ankush Sharma, Sunil Kumar and Lucky Dubey secured first, second and third positions respectively and in 73 kg, Samanyu Bandral, Karan Sharma and Mohammad Shehbaz clinched first, second and third positions respectively.
