UDHAMPUR, Aug 3: Ahead of five-day Sri Katha, a grand “Kalash Yatra” was organized here this afternoon amidst religious fervor.
The yatra commenced from Govardhan Palace, Dhar Road, Udhampur and passed through various streets of adjoining areas including Vinas Chowk, Barrian, Salathia Chowk, Court Road, Mukerjee Bazar, Dabber Chowk, Gole Market, Main Bazar and Chabutra Bazar before culminating back at Govardhan Palace.
The five- day Sri Katha is being organized by Divya Jyoti Jagriti Sansthan, a social and spiritual organization that has been working in the whole world for many years with the aim of world peace and social welfare.
Shri Ashutosh Maharaj, Swami Sucetanand, Sadhvi Jayanti Bharti and prominent of Udhampur participated in the Kalash Yatra.
According to Swami Sucetanand, the grand Sri Katha will be held from 4th August to 8th August at Govardhan Palace, Dhar Road, Udhampur, from 5 pm to 8 pm.
