JAMMU, July 13: Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust (JYBT) chairman Pawan Kumar Shastri today said as per Vedic Sanatan cultural approach among all the 12 ‘Desi’ months, Shravan is considered as the most auspicious month, the divine firmament is under the celestial sovereignty of Shravan Nakshtra (one of 27 Nakshtra). Therefore it is called Shravan. Each day during this month is auspicious for worshipping of “Bhagwan Shambu (Shiva)”.
Shravan Mass is also holy month filled with other festivals such as Durga Ashtami, Gupt Navratri, Guru Purnima, Shravan Shivratri Vrat, Nag Panchami, and Raksha Bandhan. This year it has its own religious significance as well as Five Somvars are falling during this Shravan Mass i.e. July 19,26 & 2, 9, 16, August, 2021, Shastri said.
The Monday falling in Savan month has a special significance for the devotees. It is known as “Shravan Somvar”. Each day of the Shravan Mass has also a special spiritual significance as well, where Monday is dedicated to the worshipping of Lord Shiva, Tuesday is dedicated for the worshipping of Ganesh Ji, Goddess Mata Maha Kali & Lord Hanuman Ji, Wednesday & Thursday for Lord Vishnu Ji or Lord Krishna, Friday for Mata Lakshmi & Druga Maa, Saturday for Shani Dev and Sunday for Sun (Suraj Dev), said Shastri, President of Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust, Jammu/Haridwar while speaking in the Press conference today.
