JAMMU, Aug 2: Jugal Kishore Sharma, BJP Member of Parliament, from Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha Constituency has demanded laying of the railway line from Jammu to Poonch.
The issue was raised by him in the Lok Sabha today. Jugal, while complimenting Prime Minister, Narendra Modi for approving the project for laying of Railway line from Jammu to Poonch said that the demand of laying railway line from Jammu to Poonch is very genuine demand of people from Jammu, Akhnoor, Sunderbani, Nowshera, Rajouri and Poonch.
Jugal Kishore said that the demand is pending since 70 years and the migration of people from rural to the urban areas will stop after arrival of train in Rajouri and Poonch. He added that Jammu to Poonch Railway line survey had already been done and it will provide great benefit to the people and the army in Rajouri -Poonch sector. Jugal urged Central Government to start the construction work for laying of Jammu-Poonch Railway line at the earnest so that the people of area get benefit of train.
