Jugal blames NC, PDP for anti-national sloganeering in elections

JAMMU, Apr 8: The sitting MP of Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha constituency, Jugal Kishore Sharma, who is seeking his re-election to Lok Sabha, today put the onus of anti-national sloganeering during this election upon the leaders of National Conference (NC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Jugal, during his hectic campaigning addressed a number of public programmes at various places in the Jammu city today included large public programmes in Ward No. 12, 14, 16, 24&25, 31, 30&32, 33, 39 and 40 in the Jammu city, Suchetgarh & Marh in the Jammu rural district.
The MP gave a detailed account of the work done by him in the last five years in his Constituency which as per him is one of the biggest constituencies in North India. He made it known to the people that his efforts also invited the personal attention of the Prime Minister due to which several projects were sanctioned and the budget was also released in time.
The special projects are the modernization of the Jammu Airport including the extension of the run-way, Indri Pattan Jourian-Akhnoor to Pargwal bridge, upgradation of Jammu Railway Station with phased modernization, Passport Sewa Kendra at Rajouri, Ayurvedic Hospital at Jammu, roads and bridges under Central Road Funds, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Bureau of Indian Standards, Food Craft Institute at Nagrota, Navodaya Vidhyalaya and Kendriya Vidyalaya, Water Supply Schemes and the construction of bunkers in border villages.
Besides, Jugal Kishore Sharma, the other leaders of the party who addressed the gatherings at different places included Sat Sharma, former Minister, Ramesh Arora, MLC, Ayodha Gupta, Jammu West district president, Praduman Singh, district Prabhari, Councillors, Sanjay Baru, Yashpal Sharma, State treasurer, Prabhat Singh Jamwal, Veena Gupta, district president, Mahila Morcha and Jeet Angral, Mandal president.
The sitting MP also said that it was due to his efforts that batches of students from his constituency were taken for tours of Parliament, students were given the exam warrior books, Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and Ujjwala Yojana were introduced in Jammu constituency. Swatch Bharat Abhiyan, PM Kaushal Vikas Yojana, Sansad Adarsh Gram programme and the Indian Post Payment Bank were initiated in the area.
It was due to the wrong statements of the top leaders of these parties that their other leaders and the cadre were involved in loose language against the national interests. It is a pity that the leaders like presidents of the regional parties and the Congress are adopting anti-social and anti-national stance to get votes of a particular section of the society, he added.
