JAMMU, Dec 30: During his day long extensive tour of different areas of his Constituency, BJP State president & MLA Jugal Kishore Sharma, held series of public meetings at Dansal, Kanyala, Jandrah, Korda Batyari and Kishenpur. He interacted with the people, took stock of the ongoing developmental works and also discussed new projects to be undertaken in these areas.
Addressing a massive public rally at Dansal, Jugal Kishore Sharma asked people to defeat the pro-autonomy and other separatist forces. He said that the BJP has been fighting a two pronged relentless war to integrate the State completely with India and empowering the neglected regions of Jammu and Ladakh and various marginalized religious and ethnic minorities and social groups. “BJP has been fighting an ideological war with the pro-autonomy, pro-self rule and pro-independence forces of Kashmir and taking up the causes of the ignored regions and the communities of the State”, he said and added that “unlike other States of Union where the politics is basically based on democratic, economic and social issues, in J&K the position is just the opposite”.
He said it is unfortunate that NC, PDP and Congress, which claim that they are mainstream political groups, have been indulging in regressive, anti-people and anti-State policies to pander to communal and separatist forces. The BJP would want these parties to abandon their primitive ideology and focus on the issues of governance so that the people of the regions of the State have a sense of belonging, he added.
“These parties have caused immense damage to the unity and integrity of the country and jeopardized the general political and economic rights of the people across the State. This policy must end. The people want a fair, transparent, accountable, responsive and corruption free Government”. He assured the people that the BJP will do all that it could to defend and promote the interest of the people across the state and defeat the regressive force.
Nand Kishore, Som Dutt, Vijay Kumar, Uttam Singh, Puran Singh, Vijay Shrama and others accompanied the MLA during his tour.
