JU fencing teams leave for Khelo India University Games

JAMMU, May 26: The men and women fencing teams from University of Jammu (JU) today left Jammu for participation in the Khelo India University Games 2023, to be held at Lucknow (UP) from 31st May to 3rd June.
The men team comprises of Prashant Chib, Praney Singh, Gourav Thakur, Arun Kumar, Parvinder Sharma, Harsh Rajput, Shivansh Kapoor, Suryansh Sharma, Udhayveer Singh Chandel, Harsh Anand and Ajay Singh while the women team comprises of Palak Bharti, Simran Rajput, Mansi Spolia and Kshika Rana.
Padam Dev Singh is accompanying the team as University contingent manger whereas Ranchan Sabarwal and Ajay Kumar are accompanying the teams as coaches.
Before the departure of the team for Lucknow, the team was introduced with Prof Umesh Rai (Vice-Chancellor, JU) in the presence of Prof Arvind Jasrotia (Registrar), Dr Daud Iqbal Baba (Director Sports and Physical Education), Padam Dev Singh (Hockey Coach) and Harinderpal Singh.
Prof Umesh Rai wished the teams a successful participation in the Khelo India University Games.
