JAMMU, Jan 5: Thrashing Osmania University Hyderabad in a one-sided contest by sixteen goals to one (16-01), hosts University of Jammu sealed berth in the quarterfinals of the ongoing All India Inter University Tournament, being organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu at MA Stadium Skating Rink, here.
In other pre-quarterfinal matches, Anna University Chennai defeated Pacific University, Udhaipur by 12-01 goals, University of Kerala drubbed SRM Tamil Nadu by 2-1 goals and GNDU Amritsar lost to MDU Rohtak by 01-15 goals.
Dr Meenakshi Kilam, Registrar University of Jammu was the chief guest, who interacted with the players of the participating teams along with Prof Avtar Singh Jasrotia, Organizing Secretary and Director, Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu, Raju Dahbade, General Secretary Roll Ball Federation of India, Manoj Yadav, Vice President Rollball Federation of India and Madhu Khajuria, Joint Secretary Roll Ball Federation of India.
The matches were officiated by MP Subramanyam, Jyoti, Sunil Thomas, Hemat Singh, Vikram Rathore, Chandereshwar, Prem Nath, Ramesh Singh, Simran and Nagender Singh Negi.
The quarterfinal matches in both the sections will be played at MA Stadium tomorrow.
