JAMMU, June 6: A protest was held by the Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) in Jagti township today under the leadership of its president, Shadi Lal Pandita.
Addressing the protesters, Shadi Lal Pandita said that inflation has made life difficult for relief holders and they are very worried. The Government should increase the monthly cash assistance of Kashmiri migrant relief holders from Rs 13,000 to Rs 25,000 at an earliest. He said that a package of at least 5,000 posts should be announced for Kashmiri migrant youth Who had no source to continue their education after class 10th.
Pandita said that such poor youth having no source of income be rehabilitated by announcing 5000 class fourth posts for them. He also demanded settlement of other demands of displaced Pandits from Valley.
