JAMMU, Sept 3: Kashmiri Pandits today under the banners of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) today demanded for the removal of illegal encroachments from their lands in the Kashmir Valley.
In this regard a protest was organised in which a large number of Kashmiri Pandits participated.
Speaking on the occasion, President, JTC, Shadi Lal Pandita said that the land of Kashmiri Pandits which has been lying in Kashmir valley for the last 33 years on which some people in Kashmir valley have made illegal encroachments, the Government should remove all those illegal encroachments and return that land to Kashmiri Pandits.
Pandita said that for the past 33 years Kashmiri Pandits have been forced to live a life of exile by staying outside Kashmir due to which our identity is now disappearing and the Government is fully responsible.
Pandita said that Kashmiri Migrants are facing a lot of difficulties and the Government should think about our problems and solve them.
Raising their demands, Pandita said, we demand enhancement in monthly cash relief of Relief holders from Rs 13,000 to Rs 25,000. 20,000 Jobs should be given to unemployed Kashmiri migrant youths. Over- aged educated youth who have obtained education and degrees and who have not got Jobs in migration should be given bank loans upto 25 lakh without interest so that they can start their own business and on -spot recruitment for police force in Jagti Township so that Kashmiri Pandits youth could get a chance to join the police force.
