Jammu, Nov 18: Joint Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion, (GoI) Shubra Singh along with Sourab Bhagat, Secretary, Industries & Commerce Department, Dr. Abdul Rashid, Director, Industries & Commerce, Jammu, A.A. Bhat, Managing Director, JKDFC & other Govt. Officials of Industries Department visited Sidco Industrial Complex, Bari Brahmana today.
During the interaction with Jt. Secretary, Annil Suri, president, Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) highlighted the various issues related to the implementation of Package of Incentives announced by DIPP which includes the pre registration clause related to the release of CIS, delay in the release of funds for the subsidies/ incentives, regular SLC meetings for timely clearance of cases, implementation of Freight Subsidy Scheme, neutrality of location for the setting of new units as no land is available with State Govt., COIS limit at par with GoI Incentives i.e. maximum of 3 crores for investments more than 10 crores, 3 % Interest Subsidy to be extended to units covered under substantial expansion & the role of JKDFC.
The Joint Secretary, issued on the spot instructions to the concerned officials for immediate implementation of this package as envisaged in the policy without deviations for timely release of funds & facilitate the entrepreneurs with improvements in ease of doing business in this difficult State of J&K. A memento was also presented to the joint Secretary by BBIA.
Later, she visited three units namely M/s Shalimar Floorings Pvt. Ltd, M/s Saraswati Plasto Tech Ltd. & M/s Emcure Pharmaceutical Ltd.
