JAMMU, Oct 3: Senior Congress leader and former Minister, Taj Mohi-ud-Din today clarified that Joint Committee has failed to come up with the factual position on the ground vis-à-vis alleged encroachments in Khasra Nos. 301, 302 and 303 of village Jammu Khas because of glaring errors in the revenue record.
“The Joint Committee has itself admitted in the report that revenue officials failed to delineate the limits of these Khasra Numbers because of overlapping of Hadbast with neighbouring villages”, Taj, whose family’s name has figured in the report, said.
He further said that during the joint demarcation, errors have been found in the Tatima Shajra of village Jammu Khas (particularly Khasra No. 302) as such the conclusions drawn by the Joint Committee cannot be justified. “Even a representation was made to Revenue Minister and the Settlement Commissioner in this regard”, he added.
He claimed that his own house is existing in village Chak Lalu Shah’s hadbast with Jammu Khas as such cannot be termed as illegal structure.
