KATHUA, Aug 29: Jammu Sanskriti School, Kathua, secured the overall third position in the Under-17 Boys category at the CBSE North Zone-II Chess tournament held at Mother Teresa Modern Public School, Kurukshetra.
Competing against teams from across the North Zone, the school's chess players displayed strategic brilliance, concentration, discipline and sportsmanship to earn a place among the top three teams.
The successful team comprised Sahil Mahajan (1675), Lakshya Sharma (1456), Paras Sharma (1633) and Vaibhav Dwedi (1660). Their consistent performances and fighting spirit contributed to the school's impressive finish. The school appreciated Chess Coach Ravi Sharma for his dedicated mentorship and strategic guidance. Principal Mili R. Sumbria congratulated the young chess champions.
