JAMMU, Oct 27: Jammu Province People’s Forum (JPPF) today celebrated the Accession Day by organising a grand function in its office premises at Dogra Hall here.
JPPF is an amalgam of 50 organizations and members of all organizations participated in the celebrations which were held under the chairmanship of Pavitar Singh Sessions Judge (retd).
Speaking on the occasion Pavitar Singh said that Kashmiri leadership were giving objectionable and misleading statements about accession of J&K State with Indian Union. He said the JPPF and other organizations were constrained to challenge the mindset of those who oppose the accession and hence the celebrations of the day were held in grand scale to give befitting reply to the separatist mind set.
He said if this mind set not countered the coming generations will accept it the way Pakistan centric people are projecting the issue.
Mr Singh said the people who are projecting accession as disputed issue do not introspect themselves even they do not want to know their past.
Terming Maharaja Hari Singh who signed the instrument of accession on October 26, 1947 a great visionary, patriot and a man of principles he said the Maharaja had done an exemplary work for the development of entire State the portion of which is under the forcible occupation of Pakistan and China.
He said the instrument of accession signed by Maharaja on October 26, 1947 was accepted by then Governor General of India without any condition and the letter is available with JPPF. He said some people want to take political mileage and give contradictory statements which have no base.
S J S Mangal, Narayan Singh Jamwal, president Rajput Sabha, K K Paroch, retd Judge, and Inderjeet Khajuria spoke on the occasion and made a dig at those who contradicted accession.
