Jodhamal School celebrates Grandparents Day

JAMMU, Oct 22: Jodhamal Public School celebrated Grandparents Day with remarkable zest as the students showed love, affection and gratitude towards their elders.
The junior wing students put up a wonderful show surprised everybody by putting up a scintillating performance for their beloved grandparents.
Archana Magazine, HoD English at College of Commerce, Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion, while Arati Kuthiala, Trustee was the guest of honour.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp where all the dignitaries came on the stage for lighting of the traditional lamp, which was followed by Hanuman Vandana, an act much appreciated by one and all. Cute hanumans were swaying and dancing, simply delight to watch.
“We can Dance” item presented by the little kids was a real foot tapping number, followed by a party song by the juniors. Sufi performance “Duma-Dum Mast Kalandar” brought about a mystical feel bringing everybody closer to each other as many items such as Ramp Walk, Couple Dance and Games were put up for the enthusiastic grandparents, which was availed by one and all.
A special dance performance by the British Council Associate Teacher Lauren Bridgeman from UK was the limelight and the other teacher Rebeakah Amy Jerram from UK conducted proceedings of the programme.
The programme culminated with the speech by the chief guest and a patriotic fervour by the students. Pre-Primary Coordinator, Neetu Johri presented a welcome address and Nandini Bakshi, Senior CCA Coordinator gave away the vote of thanks. Vice Principal, Monika Sethi and Trustees presented the memento to the chief guest.
