JMC urged to repair lanes, drains at Nanak Nagar

JAMMU, May 5: Welfare Society Guru Nanak Nagar Jammu today urged upon the Jammu Municipal Corporation and PWD to give their proper attention towards the lanes and sub-lanes of Guru Nanak Nagar Jammu which requires urgent repair and relaying of fresh blacktopping.
In a meeting of the Society held here today, Balwinder Singh Rinku, president of the society, said that he has received many complaints from the area that after the election of councilors and appointment of new Mayor, the development work goings on in the area has been stopped and if any public work is going on its is in selective areas.
He urged upon the councilors to lift themselves up from the party politics and address the genuine problems of the people for which they have chosen them.
Also present in the meeting were Advocate AS Khera (chairman), Ajay Mahajan (vice president) Hardeep Singh (vice president), Pawan Sharma (vice president), Sanjeev Talwar (general secretary), Raju Katyal (secretary) and others.
