JMC seals another building, seizes 70 kgs of polythene bags

JAMMU, May 9: The Enforcement Staff headed by the Chief Enforcement Officer of Jammu Municipal Corporation under the guidance of Kiran Wattal Commissioner Municipal Corporation Jammu today sealed the premises of Man Mohan Singh at Plot No: 94-B, Gole Market, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
The defaulter had converted the residential building into commercial by running the Multi Specialty OPD under the name M/s Aarogyam Multi Specialty OPD (Max Health Care Super Specialty Hospital) without the permission of Jammu Municipal Corporation. Already the owner of the building was booked under Control of Building Operation Act, 1988. The sealing has been launched with the assistance of police force from Gandhi Nagar Police Station and District Police Lines, Jammu.
Meanwhile, driving against, smoking in public place and against polythene carry bags was launched today by the team of Health & Sanitation wing of Jammu Municipal Corporation under the supervision of Dr. Mohd. Saleem Khan Health Officer JMC on the directions of Commissioner JMC Kiran Wattal.
The team seized about 7 kgs of polythene carry bags. A fine of Rs. 8,500 was imposed on defaulters. Besides this 6 persons were booked under COTP Act 2003 and a fine of Rs. 1200 was realised from the defaulters.
Morever the team lifted 4 nos. of Food samples i.e. Kachi Ghani oil (P-Mark Brand) & Homogenised Toned Milk (Amul Taza Brand) from Gandhi Nagar and Noodles (Sun feast Yippee Brand) and lodised Salt (Tata Brand) from Bakshi Nagar and sent to Food Analyst Jammu to check its standard of purity.
