JKVM urges Govt to ensure security of minorities in Valley

NEW DELHI, Mar 1: National Council meeting of Jammu Kashmir Vichar Manch (JKVM) was held here in which delegates from all over the country participated and deliberated on the current issues and chalked out future course of action also.
The delegates were of the opinion that the LG administration should extend a human touch in his policies to address to the problems of minority Hindus which included PM package, non package and all reserved category employees. In the marathon discussions the delegates were vocal and showed their serious concern towards those Kashmiri Pandits who despite all provocations and mass massacres stayed put in their homes in Kashmir but are now becoming the soft targets of the faceless hybrid terrorism.
They urged the UT as well as Central Government to come to the rescue of these people. While discussing the issue of different categories of employees serving in the Valley the participants expressed serious concern on the snail’s pace adopted in construction of accommodations for these employees as without proper secured accommodation it is practically impossible for these employees to resume their duties in the Valley.
The meeting stressed upon the Government to ensure safety of minority Hindus in the Valley.
Earlier the delegates were welcomed by Dileep Mattoo president of JKVM while Satish Bhat general secretary of the Manch presented annual general report.
S. K. Ambardar, Ajay Bharti both ex MLCS , H. L Bhat senior leader BJP and national general secretary, JKVM, Sanjay Ganjoo senior leader JKVM and T. N. Razdan Advocate Supreme Court and senior leader of JKVM were also on the dais.
Chief guest Ashish Gautam a spiritual orator from Haridwar while speaking in the concluding session extended his support to take the concern of KP community to civil society of the nation. He also praised JKVM for their struggle to preserve their rich culture.
Rich tributes were also paid to martyr Sanjay Sharma who became the target of hybrid terrorists on February 26.
On the occasion prestigious Krishan Joo Razdan Saman was presented to legendary poet B. N. Abhilaash and writer Prof Rattan Lal Talashi. Tika Lal Taploo Saman was given to journalist Adity Raj Koul, Shri Bhat Saman was conferred to Ravi Mahaldar for his contribution in providing education to down trodden.
Senior as well as junior category awards were also given to the children in the field of singing, Kashmiri speaking, dress and `Vatuk Barun’ competition.
