JKTJAC raises issues of teachers

UDHAMPUR, Feb 2: A monthly meeting of Jammu Kashmir Teachers’ Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC) was held here today under the presidium of UT President Vinod Sharma, General Secretary Saleem Sagar, Chief Coordinator Sukhdev Singh Sumbria and District President Lekh Raj Parihar.
The meeting was attended by a large number of teachers from all the eleven zones of the district, who highlighted various issues of teaching fraternity.
Vinod Sharma, in his address, demanded the conversion of left out RRETs to Teachers Grade II /III including those who have enhanced their qualification from outside recognised Universities, newly regularised ReTs, overlapping teachers of Kashmir Division and those in whose favour adverse CID reports are received due to minor FIRs as all these teachers are without salary for the last one year and their families are suffering badly .
He also demanded the implementation of Government Order No.469 Dated 26.06.2014 regarding inclusion of 5 years ReT period for seniority benefits and comprehensive transfer policy for Teachers Grade II, Teachers Grade III and 3rd Teachers. He appealed the Commissioner Secretary School Education to personally intervene in these matters for the welfare of the teachers.
He also said that some CEOs have not distributed the orders of Teachers Grade II/ Teachers Grade III which have been approved by Director School Education Jammu 15 days back and appealed the Director School Education Jammu to intervene in this matter so that these teachers get their orders.
Others who also spoke on the occasion include : Sham Sharma, Sukesh Khajuria, Ashok Seth, Pritam Goswami, Chain Singh, Bhushan Khajuria, Shamsher Singh, Ajay Thakur, Sahil Sambyal, Rekha , Pankaj Thakur, Jagadish Chander Sharma, Balbinder Singh, Sham Singh, Vipin Sharma, Anil Sharma, Shabir Sheikh, Mohd Rashid, Ranjit Singh and Parshant Sharma.
