KATHUA, Aug 20: Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF), strongly criticizing the dictatorial working style of Director School Education (DSE), has urged the Education Department for revoking the suspension order of four teachers of High School Lakhanpur claiming that they were on leave during the visit of DSE Jammu.
District president, JKTF, S Puran Singh chairing the meeting of the Forum here today condemned the dictatorial attitude of DSE with lower officers and teachers. He said that the teachers who have been suspended at HS Lakhanpur were duly on leave and the Headmaster had duly sanctioned and marked the leave.
Terming the incident unfortunate and intolerable, JKTF sought the revocation of suspension of all four teachers immediately and threatened to hold demonstration if justice is not provided to teachers.
JKTF also urged the Chief Minister to stop the intervention of political leaders in the matter of transfers in Education Department.
