JAMMU, May 21: Prinkle Singh of Jammu and Kashmir entered pre-quarterfinals in Under-16 and Under-12 category of the 7th Ramesh Desai Memorial All India Ranking National Championship at Cricket Club of India (CCI) in Mumbai today.
Earlier, in second round, Prinkle Singh defeated Nandani Gupta of Andhra Pradesh by (6 – 2, 6 – 3) in Under-16 category, while in first round, Prinkle defeated Nisha of Maharashtra by (6 – 0, 6 – 1)
Meanwhile, she has come in main draw of 16 age group by qualifying the qualifying rounds.
In qualifying first round, Prinkle defeated Rachna Reddy of Andhra Pradesh by (9 – 5), while in final qualifying round, Prinkle got better of Tanya Bhall of Indore by (6 – 0, 6 – 1)
Furthermore, in second round of Under-12 category, Prinkle prevailed over Kiran Kalkal of Delhi by (6 – 0, 6 – 0), while in first round she got a bye.
Earlier, another J&K player, Sumitpal Singh after winning his first round of 16 category yesterday, lost to National Champion Udhyan Bhakar of Rajasthan today.
