BISHNAH, Jan 17:  Taking a dig at the successive Governments in J&K  for carelessly handling the issues of reserved categories, the Jammu Kashmir Reserve Categories Employees Association (JKRCEA), today alleged  that there seems to be a plot against the reserved categories to take away quota from them.
In a rally organised at Bishnah under JKRCEA today, the speakers alleged a plot to take away reservation given to deprived classes like Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes. Cutting across the political, socio-religious affiliations, the member of various groups, social activists, non-employees and employees of SC/ST/OBC etc. attended this programme in large number at Guru Ravi Dass Mandir.
Dr Sanjay Bhasin, president JKRCEA and chief guest while speaking on the occasion said that the reservation system was ingrained in the Indian Constitution for the upliftment of the down trodden and not a political tool as portrayed by anti-reservation groups. He also said that JKRCEA, which has now become a staunch movement of masses, has launched a crusade for the protection of constitutional rights of marginalized classes and this would soon attain a shape of permanent solution of their problems, which the people of reserved classes encounter day in, and day out.
Dr Zabeer Ahmed while speaking on the occasion said that the time has now come when all the sub-groups of these categories  have to unite under single umbrella and raise the voice for it. He  appealed the communities to support the hands of JKRCEA which as on date has taken lead in raising voice against the breach of constitutional safeguard entitled to them.
