SAMBA, June 9: District Youth Congress Samba handed over PPE kits to Ramgarh Hospital for the fight against Coronavirus.
The team, led by DYC President Sushil Kumar Bhagat, in the presence of Jammu & Kashmir Pradesh Youth Congress General Secretary Nimrandeep Singh Bhullar along with AYC President Samba Sumit Kumar and AYC president Vijaypur Rakshit Sharma, handed over PPE kits to Block Medical officer Ramgarh, Dr Lakhwinder Singh, Community Health officers Dr Parvinder Kour and Dr Vijay Kumar.
To help the Union Territory in fight against COVID-19, IYC activists have been travelling extensively to make these much in demand kits available to stations all over the region. Realizing that the country and the northern states in particular were facing a shortage of PPE kits for tackling the virus and that the COVID warriors were ill equipped in performing their day to day duties, the JKPYC team last week had distributed the hygienic kits to Safai-karamcharis.
Bhullar said, “As there is need of PPE kits in hospitals, our main focus has been to support the hospitals and administration in this collective fight against this pandemic. We salute to corona warriors and to our volunteers who have not had a minute’s rest since the outbreak of this very dreaded disease.
Nimran added, “Indian Youth Congress under the leadership of its incharge Krishna Allavaru (Joint secretary , AICC ) and President IYC Srinivas B V has always played a pivotal role in helping the needy during exigencies throughout the country.”
In the last Bhullar thanked to his Incharge JKPYC Sardar Amarpreet Singh Lally (General Secretary, Indian Youth Congress) for his guidance , support and motivating team JKPYC to carry on such programs in different regions of the JKUT.
