Udhampur, Oct 2: J&K Police team defeated Ramkot in the opening tie of the volleyball tournament, organized by district police which got underway at Majalta here today
Addl. SP Udhampur Benam Tosh who presided over the function declared the tournament open after a brief introduction with the volley ball players who hailed from different areas of Tehsil Majalta District Udhampur. Prominent among the others who were present on the occasion include Inspr. Pardeep Gupta, SHO, Police Station Majalta, Sarpanch Romesh Gupta, Master Samer Dev Singh, Kamal Singh, Sudha Singh, Vicky, Mast Ram, Suresh Kumar, Romesh Chander, Bindu, Romesh Chander.
Speaking on the occasion Benam Tosh SP said that this volley ball tournament was organized under Police Civic Action Program and would continue for five day till October 6, 2012. He further stated that District Police Udhampur is going to organize similar tournaments of Volley Ball and Cricket at Nine (09) places in different areas of District Udhampur under CAP and one Badminton tournament was recently concluded at Udhampur which was organized by RPHQ Udhampur in the memory of martyrs.
