JAMMU, Feb 19: JK Montessorie Senior Secondary School (JKMS) today celebrated Annual Day at Teacher Bhavan, Gandhi Nagar here.
The theme of the event was ‘ Parivartan Ki Aur’.
Advisor to the Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Khan was the chief guest while State Commissioner Bharat Scouts and Guides , ID Soni, and Dy Chief Eucation Officer, Jammu Devinder Singh Manhas and District Education Planning Officer, Rakesh Gupta were the guests of honour on the occasion.
Ex MLC Vibodh Gupta presided over the function. Chairman of the school, Sanjeev Gupta and Academic Director, Rajni Gupta and Principals of different prestigious schools of the city were also present .
The Programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp, followed by Ganesh Vandana and cultural items displayed by the students enthralled the audience.
The chief guest distributed the prizes among the meritorious students who have excelled in academics and various competitions held at School, District and National levels.
Khan appreciated the management and teachers for putting up such a grand show and for excellent approach towards imparting quality education. He hoped that the institution would continue in its endeavour in the mission of providing quality education in the region.
Earlier the gathering was welcomed and greeted by Principal, Geeta Dixit highlighted the achievements of the school in her annual report.
The vote of thanks was presented by Sutinder Kour and the programme culminated with National Anthem.
