JAMMU, Feb 10: A day-long convention of the representatives of All Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation was held here today to take stock of the situation arising out of employees struggle launched for long pending demands of the State employees and teachers.
While addressing the convention, the Federation president Balwan Singh Jamwal and other leaders exhorted upon the employees to remain united for a struggle to get their demands conceded by the Government. They accused the Government of not implementing the agreement reached out with the employees over the 6th Pay Commission arrears.
The Federation members unanimously decided to participate in the February 13 convention of J&K Government Employees Joint Action Committee (R) at Guru Ravi Dass Sabha, Krishna Nagar Jammu.
The Federation appealed all its members to participate in the February 13 convention in which major decisions regarding the State level unit on principle basis to fight for the cause of general employees will be taken.
