JKHA asks persons with disabilities to get vaccination

JAMMU, May 10: J&K Handicapped Association (JKHA) has urged upon all the persons with disabilities to get anti-COVID vaccination as early as possible.
In a handout, Association president, Abdul Rashid Bhat
said, as immunity due to disability is already low, therefore persons with disabilities should get vaccination without wasting any time.
“Vaccine has proved safe and doctors say it keeps one save from Coronavirus attack,” he maintained adding that government of India should prioritize persons with disabilities for vaccination.
Bhat requested all the Deputy Commissioners of J&K to direct the concerned CMOs that persons with disabilities should be vaccinated on priority base on production of disability certificate.
“It would be better if government can facilitate home vaccination for persons with disabilities,” he said adding that all the sections of society across J&K should follow guidelines issued by the government regarding COVID pandemic.
