JAMMU, Mar 10: One Day convention of JK Government Pharmacist’s Association (JKGPA) was held under the chairmanship of Ajit Kumar, senior leader of Pharmacists of Jammu province, today.
The main agenda of the convention was to elect new body of the Association the elections of which were not done for 20 years. All Pharmacists unanimously agreed that Ajit Kumar shall take the responsibility for conducting the meeting in all the districts of Jammu province and then the election process will be held through secret ballot.
Many demands were also discussed in the convention which include DPC of the Pharmacists category be conducted without delay, recognition of J&K State Pharmacy Council and State Medical faculty by Pharmacy Council of India and HRD New Delhi at first instant, replacement of one year Diploma Certificate into two years through State Nodal Committee constituted by HRD and EXT Affairs Ministries, New Delhi.
Other demands discussed are immediate fulfilling of vacant Pharmacists posts in different streams/Department of Health and Medical Education.
Other present were J D Sharma, Babu Ram, Hoishar Singh, Ashok Bhan, Ajit Lal, Jatinder Singh, Amarjeet Singh, Surinder Choudhary, Shiv Kumar Gupta and Kuldeep Kumar Gupta.
