JAMMU, Dec 22: Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Front (JKDF) today held a meeting under the chairmanship of its State president Anil Gupta to chalk out various aspects and strategies to celebrate JKDF’s Foundation Day on February 19.
Addressing the party activists, State president, JKDF, Anil Gupta said that as a part of Duggar Shaurya Diwas celebrations on February 19, JKDF will organize various charity and cultural programmes during the week.
“February 19 will have a significant importance for all of us, as on this day JKDF came into existence”, Gupta informed.
“We are continuously highlighting various public interest issues like eradication of growing unemployment, allowance for unemployed youth, discrimination in public services and basic amenities to people on different forums”, Gupta said.
Recently we have formed a group known as “Sewa Dal”, which voluntarily reaches out to ailing, destitute and neglected section of society to help them monetarily and extend the medical aid, he informed.
JKDF has decided to contest the Parliament and State Assembly elections on all the seats of Jammu, he added.
“We appeal all the citizens to participate in the “Duggar Shaurya Diwas” celebrations programme to make it a grand success”, said Anil Gupta.
