J&K State Power Lifting & Dead Lift Championship concludes

JAMMU, July 2: Two-day J&K State Power Lifting and Dead Lift Championship (Jr & Sr) un-equipped and equipped concluded at MA Stadium, here.
The championship was organized by the All J&K State Power Lifting Association affiliated to Power Lifting India and was held under the observation of J&K Sports Council Weightlifting Coach, Inder Pal Singh.
On the occasion, former Minister and MLA Suchetgarh, Ch Sham Lal was the chief guest while Aditi Sharma was the special guest and Bishnesh Bhagat, Inspector J&K Police was the guest of honour, who distributed prizes and medals among the winners and runner up players.
Ashraf emerged as the Best Lifter in Unequipped Power Lifting, Equipped Power Lifting and Equipped Dead Lift while Roshan Sharma emerged as the Best Lifter in Unequipped Dead Lift Championship. In Women Category, Sakshi Koul emerged as Best Lifter in Unequipped Power Lifting and Dead Lift Championship while in Equipped Power Lifting Malvi Gupta bagged best Lifter and Radha Kumari emerged as Best Lifter in Equipped Dead Lift Championship.
Around 300 players from various districts of J&K included Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Reasi, Kishtwar, Doda and Leh participated in the championship. The championship is organized in well mannered under the officials of the association namely Ajay Sharma General Secretary; Rahul Sawhney Senior Vice President, Gulzar Singh and Vikram Singh Vice Presidents, Ravinder Sharma Treasurer, Sanjeev Singh and Adil Ashraf Khan Joint Secretaries and Deepak Jyoti, Vinay Sharma, Sumit Gupta, Harddep Singh, Sohan Lal, Anshuman Sharma, Gourav Gupta as the core team members.
In Women Category, Gold Medals were won by Sakshi Koul, Gurpreet Kour, Rashika Handa, Malvi Gupta, Payal Gupta, Eeshita Sharma, Juhi Gupta, Rudra Sharma, Neeti Johan, Simran Burnrah, Balvinder Kour, Rita Kundal, Rakshita Bhogal and Radha Kumari; Silver Medals were won by Radha Kumari, Akshi Raina, Monika Sharma, Rudra Sharma, Vandana Devi, Jaspreet Kour and Upasna Mahajan and Bronze Medals were won by Ruby Sharma and Taranjeet Kour.
In Men Category, Gold Medals were won by Muteeb Elahi, Balvinder Singh, Varun Gupta, Bodh Raj, Santok Singh, Dalveer Kumar, Akshay Mahajan, Sajan Sharma, Shiv Charan Singh, Rajat Kumar, Ankush Sundan, Rajesh Gupta, Vishal Singh, Ashraf, Arjun Saini, Saksham Pal Singh, Aman Deep Bassan, Ajay Jogi, Ved Prakash, Abhiyam, Sharma, Roshan Sharma, Ibrahim Mushtaq, Rahul Choudhary, Atul Kohli, Harshul Sharma, Aditiya Sharma, Abhi, Aniket Bhagat, Gourav Sharma, Ashish Singh and Mridul Ghai; Silver Medals were won by Chetan Dogra, Rohit Sharma, U.S Lowerence, Abhay Sharma, Jagdev Singh, Mohammad Zia, Tarun Kumar, Ram Thappa, Sandeep Sharma, Ankush Sundan, Samarjeet, Lakshay Wadhera, Tribhuvam Singh, Vikram Deep, Arun Kumar, Ashish Singh, Sandeep Banmotra, Jaswinder Singh, Gurdeep Singh, Manjeet Singh, Bhanu Pratap Singh and Amandeep Singh; Bronze Medals were won by Aryan Sharma, Daleep Kumar, Devinkar Gupta, Aditya Sharma, Akshay Mahajan, Rahul Kumar, Shubham Bhagat, Manik Kumar, VIkram Singh, Arjun Singh Manhas, Rajinder Kumar, Love Radhay, Tribhuvam Singh, Sandeep Banmotra, Ravinder Singh, Prashant, Mehul Verma, Shalinder, Vinod Mahajan and Aniket Bhogal.
